Shar - My favourite gem is paridot, probably cause as a redhead, as a child, I always got dressed in different shades of green. I like the gem, as I find it can be displayed in so many different settings. There's not a particular setting you think of with this little gem of the Earth. Green is like the stem and leaves of a flowering plant, so many other gems and stones match with it. Im not a gold fan. If a piece of jewelry is gold I have to have it in white gold, or I prefer sterling silver. Since this peridot is done in silver, it makes it even more appealing to me. I have never owned a paridot ring, so this would be a 1st to me. At 55, there aren't too many things left in life to be first at.
