Money Laundering Policy

SuperJeweler.com and Hansa USA LLC are committed to conducting business in compliance with applicable United States laws and regulations concerning money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and other financial crimes.
As part of our business, SuperJeweler may purchase estate jewelry, diamonds, precious stones, precious metals, watches, and other jewelry-related items from members of the public and other suppliers. We maintain an Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”) compliance program designed to prevent our business from being used to facilitate money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, trafficking in stolen property, or other unlawful activity.
Seller Identification and Verification
SuperJeweler may require individuals or businesses selling jewelry, precious metals, diamonds, gemstones, watches, or other property to us to provide appropriate identification and information regarding the transaction.
Depending upon the nature, size, frequency, or circumstances of a transaction, we may request additional information concerning the seller, ownership of the property, source of the property, or other information reasonably necessary to verify the legitimacy of the transaction.
SuperJeweler reserves the right to decline any transaction when satisfactory identification or other requested information cannot be provided.
Suspicious TransactionsSuperJeweler employees are trained to recognize circumstances that may indicate suspicious or potentially unlawful activity.
Transactions may receive additional review when circumstances are inconsistent with normal commercial practices or raise questions regarding the identity of the seller, ownership or source of the merchandise, transaction structure, method of payment, or other relevant factors.
SuperJeweler reserves the right to delay, decline, cancel, or terminate a transaction when appropriate and to cooperate with law enforcement and governmental authorities as required or permitted by law.
Transaction StructuringSuperJeweler does not permit transactions to be structured or divided for the purpose of avoiding identification, recordkeeping, reporting, or other legal requirements.
Transactions that appear to have been structured to avoid applicable reporting requirements may be declined and may be reported to the appropriate governmental authorities when required or permitted by law.
Cash Transactions and Government ReportingSuperJeweler complies with applicable federal requirements concerning the receipt of cash in trade or business transactions, including applicable reporting requirements under Internal Revenue Service and Financial Crimes Enforcement Network regulations.
Where required, SuperJeweler will file Form 8300 or other applicable governmental reports concerning reportable cash transactions.
SuperJeweler will not assist any customer, seller, supplier, or other person in structuring a transaction for the purpose of avoiding a reporting requirement.
RecordkeepingSuperJeweler maintains records relating to covered transactions in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements and its internal compliance procedures.
Information collected in connection with our AML compliance program may be retained and disclosed to governmental or law-enforcement authorities when required or permitted by law.
Compliance ProgramSuperJeweler maintains policies, procedures, internal controls, employee training, compliance oversight, and independent review appropriate to the nature and risk profile of its business.
Our AML program is periodically reviewed and updated to address changes in our business, applicable laws and regulations, and identified money-laundering and financial-crime risks.
Our Right to Refuse TransactionsSuperJeweler reserves the right, in its sole discretion and subject to applicable law, to refuse to purchase merchandise or enter into or complete a transaction when we cannot reasonably verify the identity of a party, the ownership or legitimacy of merchandise, or the lawful nature of a transaction.
