It has been brought to my attention that we are in need of information and guidelines in order to reopen and operate properly during the current pandemic crisis, and please let this letter serve you as a general outline of how we will operate.
Our goal is to have a safe work environment, and be able to run our business effectively. We will need a lot of mindful cooperation in order to properly accomplish this mission.
Information on 18 East 48th Street
The building has implemented a social distancing program. You will see spacing lines in the lobby, and there are 2 X-marks in each elevator. You must stand on one of the X-marks while in the elevator.
It is suggested that you carry disposable tissues for touching the elevator buttons and door handles.
Masks are REQUIRED for the elevator lobby, elevators, and 3rd floor lobby.
We are going to run on a split shift work week, in which we will all be assigned to the 1st or 2nd shift. These assignments are only subject to change with my approval.
Shift 1: 7am arrival, 2pm departure, prepare for departure at 145pm, out the door at 2pm.
Shift 2: 2pm arrive, 9pm departure. Do not arrive before 2pm. If you arrive early, wait on the street for clearance.
These times are NOT FLEXIBLE.
Shift 1: Cleaning from 7am to 715am
Shift 2: Cleaning from 2pm to 2:15pm
Gloves, masks, disinfectant, paper towels, face guards will be provided.
Cleaning will be with disinfectant and paper towels, as wipes are not available at this time.
Cleaning must include, disinfecting door handles (all), package passers under the window, ¾ wall tops everywhere, bathroom sink handles, all table tops where anyone is working, keyboards, mice, refrigerator door and handle, kitchen counters, personal chair armrests.
Arrival to office and Leaving Office
Only 1 person may enter and leave the office at a time. There may only be 1 person in the vestibule (entry room).
You MUST use your door buzzer to open the doors. If you do not have your buzzer, wait to be buzzed in by someone inside.
If you arrive at the same time as someone else, please maintain at least a 6 foot distance between each other.
Packages are to be given through the package passer, then rubbed down with Purell Sanitizer.
Large quantities of packages should be placed in the outside elevator lobby before pick up times.
Attire, Protective equipment
Face guards must be worn at all times. These will be supplied to each person and supplies will be available in the office.
Face masks must be worn while walking around, in case of interaction without proper distance.
Face masks should be worn while having person-to-person interaction.
Gloves will be provided, but we recognize that it is very difficult to work with gloves on. Please wear gloves while receiving packages and giving them out.
Hand Washing Like A Medical Professional
NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO COME CLOSER THAN 6 FEET FROM ANYONE ELSE, UNLESS IN PASSING BY. While this will be a bit difficult, it is absolutely necessary.
We have sufficient space to be able to spread out.
Each person must work in their own area and be very careful not to be in other people’s spaces.
Clear Plastic dividers will be placed on the ¾ walls between people in production.
These dividers should arrive Monday, June 8th.
No more than 1 person may be in the vault at any time.
The vent must be kept ON.
No one will be permitted to eat lunch in the kitchen. Chairs have been removed.
We will have coffee as usual, and we will take turns making coffee and cleaning the carafe.
You may place your lunch in the refrigerator as well as heat your food in the microwave, but please eat your food either at your desk, or at another location such as in the old customer service area.
YOU MUST WEAR A MASK AND GLOVES WHILE IN THE KITCHEN AREA.
PLEASE DO NOT REMAIN IN THE KITCHEN FOR MORE THAN 2-3 MINUTES
ONLY 1 PERSON IN EACH BATHROOM AT A TIME
IF SOMEONE IS IN THE BATHROOM, PLEASE WAIT OUTSIDE UNTIL IT IS YOUR TURN.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO USE THE BATHROOM IN THE FRONT OF THE OFFICE. PLEASE LEAVE THE LIGHT AND FAN ON AND DO NOT TURN IT OFF.
Masks are REQUIRED while on the way to the bathroom and while in the bathroom.
You MUST disinfect the toilet seat and flusher handle after each use.

It is important to understand that if you do not adhere to these guidelines, you will not be permitted to come to the office.
